My short story will be published in ArtAscent Magazine

We all have hobbies and passions and when it turns into something meaningful and serious, it could be really interesting.

My passion is, besides contemporary art, writing. I like to submit my stories to literature contests, especially if there is a given topic. The ArtAscent magazine has quite often a call for artists and writers and I sent in my short story to the call “Beauty” as well.

My story was selected by the jury and it will be published in the magazine in April 2019. I am very honoured, proud and happy.

According to the topic, my story is about the famous sex-icon, Marilyn Monroe. I described her through the eyes of an experienced photographer and through the eyes of a young girl who is discovering the complexity of visual art. The story recalls two very well-known photographs of Marilyn Monroe, one is black and white, the another one is coloured.

ArtAscent Art & Literature Magazine – ‘Connecting Art Lovers with Winning Artists’ is their Motto. It offers a platform for serious artists and writers to display their artworks and writings meanwhile also honoring them by awarding prizes – Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention Awards. Artists and writers are carefully selected by the curator in accordance with the theme of the journal and then those who are fortunate enough to make it in the juried selection, get exposure of their work not only in print but also online.
